About LSTM 

Founded in 1898, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine was the first institution in the world dedicated to tropical disease and has led the field in the fight against infectious, debilitating and disabling diseases ever since. LSTM staff works in over 70 countries worldwide to fulfil the mission of improving the health of the world’s poorest people, helping to bring research innovation and scientific breakthroughs from the lab to those most in need. The School maintains a strong portfolio of research, a large part of which is based in the developing countries of the tropics. There are also laboratory-based programs, particularly in the area of parasitic and other communicable diseases. Research ranges from studies devoted to improved delivery of health services to poor and disadvantaged populations, through social science research and clinical intervention studies, to basic studies in the molecular sciences, genomics and immunology of communicable diseases.

Tasks assigned: LSTM will be participating in all work packages with the exception of WP7.
